The Community Foundation for MetroWest improves the quality of life in over 30 MetroWest cities and
towns—especially for our most vulnerable neighbors. Since 1995 we have been providing financial and
educational resources to local nonprofit organizations, sharing essential data about the region to inform
decisions, and partnering with donors to help guide and align their giving with the areas of greatest need in

The Foundation is seeking a skilled professional to join its Development Team.
Position Summary
Title: Development Operations Associate
Experience: 2+ years in a development, operations or administrative role
Location: Natick, MA

Reports to: Vice President of Advancement & Philanthropic Services
The Foundation is seeking a skilled professional for the role of Development Operations Associate.
Reporting to the VP of Advancement, the Development Operations Associate will play an integral role in
supporting the growth and mission of the organization by providing essential operations and advancement
support. This role is responsible for the overall health and maintenance of Raiser's Edge including both
reactive tasks such as gift entry and receipting and proactive tasks including the identification and execution
of donor stewardship strategies. Working in partnership with the Development team and members of staff
responsible for fundraising, the Development Operations Associate enjoys working both independently and
as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Database and Gift Processing (40%)
- Manage and maintain integrity of constituent data in Raiser’s Edge.
- Enter all gifts in Raiser's Edge and manage timely gift receipting and acknowledgement processes.
- Generate reports from Raiser's Edge to support development initiatives, donor engagement
strategies, and analysis of fundraising. - Manage mailings for various campaigns and events as identified.
- Manage system improvements to support development initiatives in Raiser’s Edge.
Advancement Support (30%)
- Support execution of integrated multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including Annual Fund, Action Projects, Corporate Partners, Donor Advised Funds, etc.
- Support campaign tracking before, during and after implementation and execution using existing
tools and systems. - Manage annual day of service, including organizing nonprofit projects and communicating with all parties to ensure a positive experience for donors
Donor Relations Support (30%)
- Work with Development team to identify and execute donor stewardship strategies and systems to strengthen donor relationships and support fundraising goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to review the database and other resources for potential major donors, corporate sponsors, and other funding opportunities.
- Prepare materials and reports for external donor meetings, presentations, and events.
- Create detailed profiles and reports on prospective donors and supporters based on Raiser’s Edge data and other sources.
- Attend regularly scheduled development meetings to capture data on all donors to input into Raiser's Edge.
- Handle donor inquiries and provide exemplary customer service virtually, in the office/at events, and over the phone.
Knowledge and Skills
- Database experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system strongly preferred
- Excellent technology skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Requires local travel and must have the ability to participate in early morning or evening meetings and events, as identified

- Adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines and safeguard the confidentiality of donor information at all times
- Consistent work schedule; ability to work 40 hours per week

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is $55,000 plus benefits.

Additional Details:
This position is full time, with a hybrid work schedule based in Natick, MA. Our staff currently come into the office three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
